Julien Clerc

Julien Clerc returns to the stage and will stop at the Pays d’Aix Arena in Aix-en-Provence on September 19, 2027. First revealed in 1968 with "La Cavalerie," he followed with songs that have become landmarks of French chanson, such as "Ce n’est rien," "Si on chantait" and "Ma préférence." Straddling mainstream French chanson and pop, his writing and melodies have accompanied several generations, without ever leaving the stage or the recording studio.

This engagement is part of a new tour through the country’s major venues. Forty years earlier he was the first artist to perform at the Palais Omnisports de Bercy—a milestone that speaks to the place he occupies in the musical landscape. In 2027 he will also reach a personal milestone, celebrating his 80th birthday on October 9.

In Aix-en-Provence, Julien Clerc will be closest to his songs, presenting a repertoire that spans five decades, from his beginnings to more recent works. The concert is designed to revisit his classics and to recall what defines his artistic universe: the elegance of the lyrics, a keen sense of melody and a vibrant stage presence.
