Info
On June 3, 2026, the Bal Chavaux in Montreuil brings together four notable voices of francophone rap for an evening centered on the text and the stage: Yung Yude, Ryaam, Souffrance and Scred Connexion.
Yung Yude. A young rapper from Toulouse, he turns an adolescence marked by current events into conscious writing, carried by candid melodies and a knack for the hook. His rap, nourished by intimate experiences and an anticolonial and antifascist stance, draws a clear line between introspection and collective speaking out.
Ryaam. Emerged through open mics and opening slots across France, she has spent about fifteen years developing a direct, stage-oriented rap. Her pen gives form to identities too often distorted or silenced, with tracks rooted in reality and a stage presence that keeps the audience engaged.
Souffrance. Originally from Montreuil and a pillar of L’uZine, he blends dark boom bap with 2-step and UK garage influences and precise writing, oscillating between social chronicle and ego-trip. Prolific in projects and concerts, he returns with Hiver automne, an album released in 2025 that further expands his sonic spectrum without losing the clarity of his imagery.
Scred Connexion. A collective from the 18th arrondissement and a fixture of Parisian independent rap, la Scred embodies a tradition of direct writing and cultural transmission. On stage, Mokless and Koma deploy complementary flows and catalogue classics, combining a boom bap aesthetic, a social outlook and overall coherence.
