Jimmy Sax

On October 14, 2027 at the Zinga Zanga in Béziers, Jimmy Sax puts his saxophone front and center for a live set crafted for dancing. Behind the name is Frenchman Jim Rolland, saxophonist and composer, who links electronic music with acoustic wind playing. His set mixes melodic house, deep house, instrumental pop and hints of jazz, with catchy themes that grab quickly and wide stretches of improvisation. A regular in clubs and on stages shared with DJs, he establishes a direct dialogue with the audience and rides the rise of energy without sacrificing musicality. From Saint-Barth to Europe, via North America and the Middle East, he has shaped a fluid, rhythmic approach conceived for live performance. He also develops a more orchestral format with the Jimmy Symphonic Dance Orchestra, which transposes his repertoire into a symphonic setting. In Béziers he appears with a live ensemble, staying close to the blend that defines him: electronic textures, a warm saxophone and a musical narrative driven by breath.
