Gilbert Montagné

A leading figure of Francophone pop, singer, songwriter and pianist Gilbert Montagné returns to the stage on 30 May 2027 at the Zinga Zanga in Béziers. True to the blend of pop, disco and soul that runs through his discography, he presents his new album, L’Amour dans ses mains, where catchy grooves sit alongside ballads with more melancholic hues. With keyboards to the fore and a composed vocal delivery, he alternates new songs with tracks that have shaped his career.

From The Fool in the early 1970s to the French-language choruses that defined the following decade, Montagné embraces a direct, melodic songwriting style conceived for the stage. Expect to hear his classics—The Fool, On va s’aimer, Les Sunlights des Tropiques, Liberté, Le blues de toi and Musicienne—revisited in a live arrangement that gives the piano the central role. Between repertoire and current material, this concert unfolds as a journey through his different periods, featuring tight arrangements and a guiding sense of groove.
