On Saturday, 22 August 2026 at Open Ground in Wuppertal, precise sound research meets club pressure.
Freifeld: The Frenchman David Letellier, aka Kangding Ray, shaped by Raster-Noton, combines technoid pulsation, ambient-leaning spaces and experimental edges into dense, mobile arrangements where low end, fragmented rhythms and spatial depth set the pace. Alongside him, Gerard Hanson performs as Convextion with a live set; focused on groove and sonic architecture, he draws lines between pulsing rhythm and floating textures. GiGi FM, coming from London raves and rooted in Berlin, treats DJing as performance: seamless transitions between techno, bass and breakbeat, a physical signature drawn from her dance background, and atmospheres that balance tension and introspection.
Annex: Funkscapes at Open Ground will run the second floor. Benedikt Meger provides the framework, Eoism brings a live set, and Credit 00 completes the bill with a direct club focus. Two floors, different perspectives on rhythm and space — a night that opens up the broad spectrum of contemporary electronic music widely.
