Donato Dozzy

Italian musician and DJ associated with the Rome scene, Donato Dozzy has developed since the early 2000s a body of work situated between hypnotic techno, ambient and experimental electronic music, with particular attention to textures, slow variations and the perception of sonic space. His sets as well as his productions favour long progressions, discreetly modulated loops and a tension constructed without heavy‑handed effects, in a register often mental yet anchored in the club. Donato Dozzy has released numerous maxis and albums on various labels, both solo and in collaboration, and also co‑founded Spazio Disponibile with Neel. Notable entries in his discography include the album Donato Dozzy Plays Bee Mask (2013), Sintetizzatrice with Anna Caragnano (2014), The Loud Silence with Tin Man (2015) and K (2018). With Neel he also forms Voices From the Lake, a project that emerged around deep, dub‑inflected immersive techno; the eponymous album appeared in 2012. Active both in clubs and at festivals, Donato Dozzy moves between DJ formats, live performances and more cross‑disciplinary projects related to installation and listening.
