KAVARI

Born in Liverpool and based in Glasgow after growing up in the Scottish Highlands, KAVARI develops an electronic practice located at the crossroads of industrial music, ambient, noise and high-intensity club forms. Emerging in the late 2010s, KAVARI builds a universe where abrasive textures, deformed rhythms and dark moods coexist with a very physical approach to sound and performance. Her online releases belong to a British experimental scene attentive to the crossovers between radical electronic music, post-industrial aesthetics and contemporary DJ culture. In parallel with her productions, KAVARI performs both DJ sets and live, with regular activity on platforms and programs related to the alternative and electronic scenes. Her work travels between underground spaces, more transversal artistic contexts and performative formats, in a stance that emphasizes tension, sonic density and the transformation of club codes. KAVARI thus belongs to a generation of British artists who blur the boundaries between sound experimentation, dance music and performative art.
