Info

Manchester-based quartet Corella bring their new chapter to Bootleg Social in Blackpool on 21 May 2026, touring their second album, A Beautiful World to Lose. The record channels the nervy urgency of mid-2000s indie and post-punk, with clean, interlocking guitars, agile basslines and drums that push each track forward. Influences from Bloc Party to Foals surface in the angles and tempo shifts, but the band lean into their own thing: bright hooks, open-hearted vocals and a rhythmic pulse built for a room packed shoulder to shoulder.

On stage, Corella play tight and direct, favouring sharp dynamics over excess. Songs rise on chiming riffs before cutting back to lean grooves, letting melodies breathe and choruses hit without fuss. The new material adds more bite and clarity to their earlier work, with tighter structures and a clearer sense of purpose. Expect a set that moves between sprint and sway, balancing high-energy bursts with moments that slow the frame just enough to land the lyrics. A band shaped by their live shows, Corella return with focus, drive and a sound made for the night.
