Two long-running British explorers of electronic and psychedelic currents share the stage at O2 Forum Kentish Town, London, on 5 December 2026.
The Orb, steered since the early 90s by Alex Paterson, shaped ambient house with spacious textures, slow-motion rhythms and dub-inflected collage. From The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld to U.F.Orb and beyond, the project keeps stretching loops, voices and atmospheres into pieces that breathe and morph. On stage, The Orb treats sound in real time, letting samples, synths and low-end drift and lock into place, somewhere between home listening and late-night club currents.
Ozric Tentacles formed in the early 80s around guitarist and composer Ed Wynne, and built an instrumental language where psych rock, space rock, prog, jazz fusion, ambient and dub meet. Keyboards weave alongside sinuous guitars and supple or complex rhythms, moving from cosmic passages to buoyant grooves without breaking the flow. The band’s electronic textures are part of its DNA, feeding long-form journeys that connect their cassette-era roots to recent albums like Technicians of the Sacred, Space for the Earth and Lotus Unfolding.
