On 13 November 2026 at La Maroquinerie in Paris, The Veils return to bring their new album Fragile World to the stage. Led by Finn Andrews, the Anglo–New Zealand band has cultivated since the early 2000s an indie-rock sound with folk, post‑punk and sometimes gospel overtones, ranging from taut ballads to more brutal detonations. A trajectory shaped between London and New Zealand can be heard in the intensity of their playing and the prominence given to Andrews’s voice.

Fragile World, available 19 June on V2 Records, marks a shift in tone and energy. The record looks the moment squarely in the eye and also questions creation itself — that process made up of tiny choices that eventually hold together. On stage, The Veils distil this tension by blending new songs with pieces that have punctuated their career, in a more direct dynamic than on their previous tours.

In twenty years on the road, the band has built a strong live reputation, collaborated with El‑P of Run the Jewels on Total Depravity, and seen their music embraced by Paolo Sorrentino, Tim Burton and David Lynch. After their return to stages across Europe, North America and Australasia in 2023–2025, this date at La Maroquinerie promises an opportunity to catch The Veils at a pivotal moment, between the thrust of Fragile World and the legacy of Nux Vomica, Sun Gangs or …And Out of the Void Came Love.
