On 26 June 2026 at the Arena du Pays d’Aix, Nile Rodgers & Chic delivered a repertoire that helped define disco‑funk and has permeated pop. Syncopated guitar, impeccably tight bass lines, instantly catchy choruses: from “Le Freak” and “I Want Your Love” to “Good Times,” the set draws on Chic’s landmark songs while slipping in tracks Rodgers shaped for others — from “Let’s Dance” and “Like a Virgin” to “Get Lucky.” Co‑founder of Chic and a sought‑after producer, he has worked with Madonna, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, Daft Punk and Beyoncé. Live, that expertise is embodied in a tightly paced set, a precise rhythm section and arrangements tailored for dancing.
Fantastic Negrito shares the bill with his edgy blues, laced with soul, rock and funk. Brought to prominence after the NPR Tiny Desk Contest, he went on to release albums carried by a gravelly voice and taut guitars, most recently Son of a Broken Man, released in 2024.
