Camille

Camille presents The Sound of Milk at the Théâtre Sébastopol in Lille on 20 January 2027. Known for her singular work with the voice, she returns here to the essentials: timbre, breath, vibration. In this new creation she explores a stripped-down, almost bare form of singing that draws on a spiritual and intimate dimension. Words align like mantras, rhythms are born from the body, and harmonies are woven live in search of that point of resonance that connects the artist, the audience and the living. The album serves as the foundation for the concert, offering an organic, free and open sonic material.

A singer-songwriter working between chanson, pop and experimental music, Camille has, since Le Fil, Music Hole, Ilo Veyou and Ouï, developed a language in which body percussion, tongue play and minimalist structures find their place. On stage she extends this exploration with an acoustic approach, spare textures and a sense of pulse that places the voice at the center. The Sound of Milk fits within this trajectory: a return to the source of song, driven by direct songwriting and a presence that favors listening, direct engagement and simplicity.
