Dotan

Dotan performs on 10 October 2026 at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Dutch-Israeli singer-songwriter has spent more than ten years shaping an intimate folk-pop sound defined by his generous voice, spare melodies and carefully measured tension. With “Home” and the album 7 Layers he became known to a wide audience; since then he has written in a personal and direct way, driven by vulnerability and with a keen ear for atmosphere.

Live he keeps things minimal: voice up front, close harmonies and just enough arrangement to support the songs. That approach produces performances in which dynamics and silence sit side by side and the audience is brought close to the material. After Last Goodbyes, with his fifth album Dotan chose clear, stripped-down songs and a more direct sound. In Utrecht he will present that new direction alongside the work that has marked his path — without frills and with a focus on lyrics and melody. His journey has taken him to Rock Werchter, Pinkpop, Sziget, Pukkelpop and the Montreux Jazz Festival; that experience comes through in the way he carries a room, without losing the intimacy of the songs.
