On 27 May 2026 JMSN will perform at Melkweg, Amsterdam. Behind the name is Christian Berishaj, a singer, songwriter and producer from Detroit who, after a stint with Love Arcade and a pop/electronic phase as Christian TV, reinvented himself in Los Angeles with his own R&B project. Since his debut album Priscilla (2012), released on his label White Room Records, he has been building an introspective soul sound that brings together ’90s R&B, slow ballads, layered guitars and dense harmonies. In the years that followed came †Pllajë†, the Blue Album, It Is., Whatever Makes U Happy, Velvet, Live at Water Village and Heals Me, while he has also turned up in the studio alongside hip-hop names such as Kendrick Lamar. Gradually the sound shifted toward a warmer, more organic band feel with the voice at its center.

Live, JMSN carries that line forward: a tight rhythm section, soulful guitar, subtle keys and plenty of room for dynamics. Intimate slow jams sit alongside R&B with a hint of funk; melodies unfold slowly and linger without trying to force attention. Expect a set that plays with tension and release, close to the songs and attentive to detail, where the strength of the performance lies above all in timing, interplay and the color of that characteristic voice.
