Foy Vance - The Wake World Tour

Foy Vance brings his The Wake World Tour to Heimathafen Neukölln, Berlin, on 6 September 2026. The Northern Irish songwriter, shaped between Bangor and the American South, blends British folk with soul and gospel influences. In the early 2000s he was notable for his direct guitar work and rough voice; since his debut Hope (2007) his instinct for narrative, melodic songs has run consistently through his output. Joy of Nothing (2013) introduced broader arrangements, The Wild Swan (2016) appeared on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records and expanded his sound. In 2019 he released From Muscle Shoals and To Memphis, both with a strong Americana and Southern-soul flavor. Signs of Life (2021) combined intimate ballads, rootsy hues and catchy pop lines.

Live, Vance relies on immediate presence: voice up front, acoustic guitar and songs that grow in the room. The tour set mixes new material with songs from every phase of his career—from early folk sketches to soul-infused numbers—anchored by a blend of Northern Irish rootedness and American rhythmic sensibility.
