RY X comes to Berlin's Tempodrom on April 14, 2027—and brings with him music that needs little to say a lot. The Australian songwriter and producer often builds his songs from an acoustic guitar, subtle electronic textures, and a voice that tends to float rather than press. At the center is not grand drama, but closeness: to nature, to the body, to what makes one pause for a moment.
Since the EP Berlin and albums such as Dawn, Unfurl, or Blood Moon, he has continually sharpened his pared-down, open sound—somewhere between indie folk, alt-pop, and indietronica. There is also another side to him: collaborations and projects such as The Acid or Howling, productions for big-name artists, and the experience of orchestral settings. Live, this translates into a set that remains intimate, even when the room is large.
