Info

Dick Annegarn returns to Marseille for a performance at Artplexe Canebière Marseille on March 12, 2026. A Dutch, francophone singer-songwriter, he has spent fifty years carving out a path of naturalistic poetry, between earthy songs and hummable refrains. He is known for “Bruxelles,” but his repertoire also includes “Sacré géranium,” “Bébé éléphant,” “Mireille,” “Vélo va,” “L’Orage,” and “Quelle belle vallée.” Long settled at the foot of the Pyrenees, he brings the landscape into his lyrics, using a simple, precise language that owes as much to spoken word as to the ballad.

A distinctive guitarist, often supported by harmonica, a few percussion instruments and moments a cappella, Annegarn unfolds a stripped-down, lively concert. His work has been covered by -M-, Calogero, Raphaël, Nolwenn Leroy, Bashung, Souchon, Arno, Bénabar and Dany Boon, a sign of an enduring, circulating legacy. For this Marseille stop, the audience is invited to bring plants, shrubs or flowers to dress the stage and then take them back after the show. Even the guitar goes green, crafted by luthier Thomas Fejoz. An evening to sing of nature and the people who inhabit it.
