With 'Temps forts', Alain Chamfort revives a rare trajectory in French chanson: more than fifty years of elegant pop, crisp melodies and meticulously crafted writing. On March 27, 2027, in Marignane, at the Théâtre Molière, he will perform on stage what has defined his style since the yé-yé beginnings, through to the more modern turns: a poised vocal delivery, a discreet sense of groove, and this way of narrating the era without grandiloquent rhetoric.
Discovered in the 1960s and launched as a solo artist on Claude François's urging, Chamfort marked a turning point chiefly in the 1970s with his decisive encounter with Serge Gainsbourg, which sharpened his identity and his taste for arrangements. Between tracks that have lingered in the memory and more personal projects, the concert promises a journey through his various periods, propelled by musical precision that never lets go of the thread.
