Didier Super et son groupe Discount

Didier Super returns to the stage with his band Discount, a new rock line-up that brings together his musicians and three female singers. After a more theatrical stage detour begun in 2012, he puts the amplifiers back at the center of the action and plays again what has become his hallmark: caustic songs, a penchant for provocation, and a taste for choruses that hit the mark. Discount pushes the dial toward a rawer sound, between snarling rock and off-kilter chanson, where his biting pen finds a different relief. On stage, the expanded vocal arrangement broadens the palette, from tight harmonies and counterpoints to exchanges that inject new dynamism into his everyday stories.
