Concerts and clubbing in Edmonton

In the coming months, Edmonton will host a well-known mix of events, from concerts to a night with a club feel, and the lineup spans rock, folk, hip-hop and international voices. Among the most popular concerts in Edmonton are Digable Planets at Midway Music Hall, where the trio marks 30 years of Blowout Comb with jazz-rap grooves and laid-back flow, and Death From Above 1979 at Midway Music Hall, whose Private Lives Tour leans into heavy bass, sharp drums and stripped-down impact. Later in the season, Allison Russell at Winspear Centre pairs folk, Americana and roots with AHI, while Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at Edmonton EXPO Centre brings qawwali, ghazal and Sufi-inspired song to the city. Also worth noting are Tyler Braden at Midway Music Hall, SonReal at Double Dragon, Cat Clyde & Dean Johnson at The Starlite Room and Blue Rodeo at River Cree Resort and Casino, while Microwave, Free Throw and Carly Cosgrove at Pawn Shop Live and Jermaine Dupri at River Cree Halloween Bash add a stronger clubbing Edmonton edge to the autumn calendar.
