TWICE

Formed in Seoul in 2015 by JYP Entertainment following the survival show Sixteen, TWICE brings together nine members from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) around a K-pop identity centered on danceable pop, melodic hooks, and tightly structured choreography. TWICE debuted that same year with the EP 'The Story Begins' and quickly embraced a bubblegum pop, EDM, and dance-pop aesthetic before gradually shifting toward more synth-pop and R&B textures. After several mini-albums, including 'Page Two' (2016) and 'Signal' (2017), the first full Korean album 'Twicetagram' arrived in 2017, followed by 'Eyes Wide Open' in 2020 and 'Formula of Love: O+T=<3' in 2021, marking a move toward more sophisticated sounds while preserving the collective songwriting and repetitive choruses that define TWICE. In parallel, the group built a strong presence in the Japanese market with the compilation '#TWICE' (2017) and the album 'BDZ' (2018), consolidating a steady footprint between K-pop and J-pop. In 2023, TWICE continued along this path with the EP 'Ready To Be', asserting an international pop orientation without breaking with the visual codes and group performances that underpin their project.
