NMIXX
Based in Seoul, the K-pop group NMIXX was formed in 2021 by JYP Entertainment under the SQU4D label around members Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, with Jinni part of the lineup until her departure in 2022. NMIXX made their official debut in February 2022 with the single album "Ad Mare," which laid the foundation for a style dubbed "MIXX pop," blending Korean pop, hip-hop influences, EDM, and more vocal-driven passages within a single track. The 2022 single album "Entwurf," followed by the seasonal track "Funky Glitter Christmas," cemented this fragmented approach, juxtaposing melodic hooks with trap-leaning sections and pronounced tempo shifts. In 2023, NMIXX released their first mini-album "Expergo," then "A Midsummer NMIXX's Dream," further honing a sound centered on dense arrangements, tight vocal harmonies, and choreography designed for the stage. The second mini-album, "Fe3O4: BREAK" (2024), extends this artistic direction as NMIXX makes numerous appearances at major K-pop shows and undertakes showcase tours across Asia, Europe, and North America.
