ITZY
Formed in Seoul in 2019 by JYP Entertainment, ITZY is made up of five members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna. The group offers a K‑pop formula that blends electronic pop, hip‑hop and dance‑pop with very direct choruses and a teen‑crush aesthetic centered on self‑assertion. From their debut with the single album It’z Different and the title track Dalla Dalla, ITZY established a taut, rhythmic and highly choreographed sound, continued through the EPs It’z Icy (2019), It’z Me (2020), Not Shy (2020) and Guess Who (2021). The group then expanded its discography with the first studio album Crazy in Love (2021), followed by Checkmate (2022), Cheshire (2022), Kill My Doubt (2023), Born to Be (2024), Gold (2024) and Girls Will Be Girls (2025). Alongside their Korean activities, ITZY developed a Japanese facet with the singles Voltage and Blah Blah Blah in 2022 and the albums Ringo (2023) and Collector (2025). ITZY’s trajectory also includes international tours and an evolution of their repertoire, from incisive tracks to more melodic vocal lines and a highly structured stage presence. Lia’s temporary absence in 2023 and her return in 2024 mark a recent chapter in the group’s history.
