Perrie
Born in South Shields in the northeast of England, Perrie Edwards first became known as a member of Little Mix, a quartet formed in 2011 during the eighth series of The X Factor UK, which the group won. Over the years Perrie contributed to a British pop sound built on vocal harmonies, contemporary R&B and highly melodic songwriting, with albums such as DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015), Glory Days (2016), LM5 (2018), Confetti (2020) and the compilation Between Us (2021). She is also credited as a co‑writer on part of Little Mix's repertoire. After the group went on hiatus in 2022, Perrie launched a solo career under the name Perrie. Her first singles, 'Forget About Us' and 'Tears' in 2024, followed by 'You Go Your Way', 'Me, Myself and You' and 'Christmas Magic' the same year, outline a register of melodic pop focused on the voice, between ballads, mid‑tempo tracks and subtle R&B touches. Perrie initially built her stage experience on Little Mix's arena tours before performing her solo material on British stages and television programmes.
