Nemzzz

Born in Manchester in 2004 and raised in the Gorton district, Nemzzz, real name Nemiah Emmanuel Simms, is part of the new British rap scene with a concise writing style and a detached flow that blends UK hip-hop, melodic drill and more airy accents. Coming from a musical family background, with a mother and an uncle who are beatmakers and a father who is a reggae and dancehall singer, Nemzzz began rapping at the end of the 2010s before catching attention in 2021 with 'Elevate', then in 2022 with '2MS'. His progression first goes through a series of singles circulated in grime and British rap circuits, then the Nemzzz Type Beat EP in 2023, where his style sharpens between nonchalance, minimalist hooks and flexible productions, less front-facing than classic drill. Nemzzz later expands his exposure with several collaborations, notably with Knucks, Stay Flee Get Lizzy, Luciano, K-Trap, Headie One or Lil Yachty. In 2024, he releases his first mixtape, Do Not Disturb, followed later that year by new tracks such as 'ATM', 'WYA' and 'Escape'. In 2025 Rent’s Due appears, his second mixtape which confirms Nemzzz's evolution toward a more structured rap, still focused on short tracks, cold melodies and a deliberately restrained diction.
