Hans Williams

Born and raised in Vermont, Hans Williams was shaped by a musical environment where Al Green’s soul, Tracy Chapman’s songwriting, Steely Dan’s polished pop and James Brown’s funk coexisted — family touchstones that still run through his work. Having settled in New Orleans after coming there to study, Hans Williams has developed an independent singer‑songwriter approach rooted in restrained indie folk, guitar‑centered, with soul inflections and a deliberately spare production aesthetic.
