John Vincent III
Formed between Houston, where he grew up, and Los Angeles, where he later settled, John Vincent III belongs to an American indie‑folk scene characterized by intimate songwriting and acoustic formats. He began releasing his first tracks in the mid‑2010s, initially online, gradually shaping a repertoire built around voice, guitar and understated arrangements. John Vincent III works in an indie‑folk / singer‑songwriter vein, typically at slow tempos with fingerpicking guitars, touches of keyboards and sometimes strings, supporting introspective lyrics about relationships, memory and coming of age. His first full‑length album, Blue Boy, was released in 2019 and established the foundations of a hushed, deliberately pared‑back sonic world. In 2023 he released Songs for the Canyon, which extends this approach by slightly widening the sonic palette while retaining a melody‑centered, close‑to-the‑listener songwriting style, performed live solo or with a tight small band.
