Adam Lambert
Born in Indianapolis in 1982 and raised in San Diego, Adam Lambert first trained on stage in musical theatre, appearing in local productions and later in Wicked from the mid-2000s, before gaining wider recognition in 2009 as a finalist on the eighth season of American Idol. Lambert has since built a pop career characterized by a tenor voice, a glam aesthetic, and a penchant for blending pop rock, dance and electronic textures. His solo discography includes For Your Entertainment (2009), Trespassing (2012), The Original High (2015), Velvet (2020) and High Drama (2023), the latter a covers album reworked with a more theatrical, rock-oriented approach. At the same time he has established a lasting presence on major international stages with Queen + Adam Lambert, a project launched live in 2011 and developed into worldwide tours with Brian May and Roger Taylor, and captured on the live album Live Around the World (2020). His career thus alternates between studio pop, large-scale live performances and a return to theatre, including a notable Broadway appearance in Cabaret in 2024.
