Cascada
Launched in Bonn in the mid-2000s, Cascada brings together singer Natalie Horler and producers Yanou and DJ Manian in a trio format focused on eurodance, dance-pop and the trance-derived legacies of the European club scene. Cascada emerged in 2005 with "Everytime We Touch", a track that immediately established an aesthetic built on very direct choruses, fast tempos and production calibrated for the dancefloor. The first album Everytime We Touch was released in 2006, followed by Perfect Day in 2007 and Evacuate the Dancefloor in 2009, where Cascada shifted toward a more electro-tinged dance-pop sound, before Original Me in 2011. Across these releases, Cascada alternates between original songs and reworked covers delivered energetically, ranging from club pop and hands-up to front-and-center sung choruses. The project became a lasting presence in Europe's dance scenes of the 2000s and 2010s, both in clubs and live settings, and represented Germany at Eurovision in 2013 with "Glorious". Since then, Cascada has continued to employ a formula that mixes a pop vocal, electronic pulse and immediately legible song structures.
