A Perfect Circle

A Perfect Circle is the project founded in the late ’90s by guitarist Billy Howerdel, joined by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan. Together, they shape a dark, elegant brand of alternative rock where razor-sharp riffs, atmospheric tension, and a keen melodic sense converge. From their debut album Mer de Noms onward, they established an immediately recognizable sonic signature, carried by now-iconic tracks like Judith and 3 Libras. The band followed with Thirteenth Step, a more introspective and addictive record, then eMOTIVe, an album of covers reimagined with a political, minimalist approach. After a long hiatus, A Perfect Circle returned in 2018 with Eat the Elephant, a more stripped-down and electronic album that charts the duo’s artistic evolution. Always surrounded by top-tier musicians, the group remains a defining reference in American alternative rock, cultivating a world that is at once mystical, melancholic, and deeply cinematic.
