Face Yourself

Face Yourself brings together musicians based in the United States with ties to New York, New Jersey and Colorado, and France, in a transcontinental configuration that also defines how the group operates. The band operates in a modern deathcore nourished by the abrasive aesthetics of deathcore from the MySpace years, with a tight playing, massive riffs, emphatic breaks and a strong focus on vocal contrasts and rhythmic accelerations. Face Yourself emerges in 2023 with a self-titled debut EP, quickly followed in the same year by Death Reflections and Tales of Death, three releases that establish a brutal, direct and very dense sound. The band continues on this trajectory with the EPs Martyr and Fury, both released in 2025 on Sumerian Records. Through these releases, Face Yourself places itself in the contemporary extreme metal scene by crossing current codes of heavy production with older deathcore references, without straying from writing centered on impact and tension. Face Yourself thus develops a compact sonic identity, between frontal violence, rhythmic precision and the heritage of extreme metalcore.
