Emerging from the Irish techno scene, Alt8’s trajectory is built at the intersection of hard techno, 2000s dance and trance touches, with a clear taste for fast, dancefloor‑oriented rhythms. Initially inspired by his older brother’s sets, Alt8 began by mixing hip‑hop and dance music in various clubs across Ireland before turning to production in 2019. The producer and DJ developed a signature combining punchy, forward‑driving kicks, simple melodic lines and rave‑style atmospheres, seeking a balance between tension and immediacy. His international profile grew in 2021 with the track Mind Control, released on DYEN’s Reckless label, and was further confirmed in 2022 with the Obvious Intention EP on Hekate and the track Chains of Humanity, featured on the third compilation from the Berlin collective R Label Group. Since then Alt8 has continued releasing music and touring, bringing this fast, bouncy techno sound to European stages and beyond while gradually solidifying a place in the contemporary circuit.
