Diøn

Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, DIØN develops a hard-dance aesthetic at the intersection of hard techno and 90s rave, featuring direct synths, abrasive kicks and dense rhythmic work. DIØN traces the starting point of his path to a striking discovery of electronic music at Mysteryland, before emerging as a producer around the turn of the 2020s. His name spread more widely with the single “Public Enemies,” released in 2020 on Autektone; in 2022 he refocused his activity by launching his own label, Rough Material, which has become the main framework for his releases. His discography there includes the Rough Material EP, the track “Make My P*ssy Rave” with Ketting, and a reinterpretation of “Public Enemies” issued in 2024 under the title “Hard Rework.” On the European electronic scene DIØN is part of a current in which hard dance rediscovers rawer rave textures, and his studio work has also led to collaborations with artists such as Sarah Landry, Oliver Heldens and Funk Tribu.
