Vieze Asbak

Based in the Netherlands, Vieze Asbak develops a project focused on some of the most abrasive electronic club music — between fast techno, hardcore, gabber and distorted breaks. Vieze Asbak’s work relies on very physical rhythms, saturated basslines and extensive use of noisy textures, with particular emphasis on dancefloor energy rather than song form. Emerging in the late 2010s within independent circuits, the music initially circulated via digital releases and maxi singles issued on small labels and self‑released, before finding a place in the sets of DJs tied to contemporary rave scenes and hybrid aesthetics. In club contexts, Vieze Asbak strings their own productions together with tracks from hardcore, acid, industrial techno or trance, composing fast, fragmented sequences that play on repetition, sonic excess and tempo changes. This approach places Vieze Asbak in a network of electronic artists renewing the historic codes of rave by confronting them with more current references drawn from experimental and internet scenes.
