Junkie Kid

Born in Mexico, Junkie Kid emerged in the early 2010s with electronic productions initially associated with EDM, before gradually steering his work toward harder sounds. The project, carried out solo, intersects hard house, hardstyle, trance, house and techno in a club-oriented format, featuring clear melodies, rapid builds and a heavily emphasized rhythmic drive. Over successive releases, Junkie Kid has tightened his writing around a drier, more percussive aesthetic close to hard techno, while retaining a strong taste for synthetic hooks and the direct structures inherited from 1990s and 2000s dance music. His discography is primarily composed of singles and EPs, along with remixes and collaborations within the international electronic sphere. Recent tracks like The Chant and Woops continue this evolution and place Junkie Kid at the junction of the hard dance scene, techno culture and EDM formats.
