Tuneboy

Active on the Italian hardstyle scene since the late 1990s, Tuneboy is the project of producer and DJ Antonio Donà from Bologna. Initially working in the studio within the Saifam label group, Donà developed the Tuneboy sound around heavy, punchy kicks, simple and direct synthetic melodies, and frequent use of chopped vocals—traits inherited from 1990s hard trance and techno. As Tuneboy he released a string of maxis on labels such as Titanic Records and Dance Pollution and became part of the so‑called Italian hardstyle current, noted for a tightly structured approach tailored to the dancefloor. Alongside his solo productions, Tuneboy regularly collaborates with Cristiano Giusberti (aka Technoboy); together they form the duo TNT, a project that has taken them to many major European hardstyle stages. Tuneboy’s discography is mainly composed of singles and EPs, issued steadily throughout the 2000s and 2010s, allowing him to evolve his style gradually toward newer hardstyle forms while retaining a recognizable melodic foundation. Between studio work and DJ sets, Tuneboy circulates between Italian clubs and specialized festivals in the Netherlands and elsewhere in Europe, maintaining a constant connection with the hardstyle core audience.
