Technoboy

Active since the late 1990s, Technoboy developed an Italian take on hardstyle linked to the Bologna scene, where producer and DJ Cristiano Giusberti first built his studio experience within the Saifam collective. Before permanently adopting the name Technoboy, he released music under numerous aliases and worked on dance and hard trance projects, then shifted toward a hardstyle structured around massive kicks, reverse basslines and synthetic melodies directly inherited from European trance. Technoboy issued a series of maxi singles on labels such as Titanic and Dance Pollution, which established him within the network of Italian clubs and Dutch hardstyle parties in the early 2000s. Over the years, he refined a sound that is both melodic and percussive, often constructed around long vocal breaks and strongly marked buildups, intended for the large stages of festivals devoted to hard music. At the same time, Cristiano Giusberti formed the duo TNT with Tuneboy, a natural extension of the Technoboy project that allowed him to explore more recent variations of hardstyle while remaining linked to the Italian aesthetic that shaped his early productions.
