So La Lune

Based in Lyon and of Comorian origin, So La Lune is part of the new wave of French‑language rap, developing a deeply melodic style marked by a very recognizable voice, often high and vibrant. The rapper attracted attention at the end of the 2010s with a series of tracks and projects released online, which gradually established him beyond the Lyon scene. So La Lune operates in a register between trap and cloud rap, favoring airy or dark instrumentals on which he alternates autotuned singing and drier rap, with lyrics that mix observations of daily life, street narratives, relationships and motifs linked to the night and to wandering. This fragmented, often introspective writing structures the album “Fissure de vie,” released in 2022, which consolidates So La Lune’s sonic and thematic universe around nocturnal moods and melancholic atmospheres. Between regular releases, features with artists of his generation and a growing stage presence in France, So La Lune continues a body of work focused on the coherence of his universe rather than on spectacular stylistic shifts.
