Houdi

Born in 2002 in Seine‑et‑Marne, Houdi emerged on the French rap scene in 2022 with a string of self‑released singles, including "Calmé", the FPH freestyles, and the EPs Woka and La Bête, which established a universe defined by dark street rap and straightforward writing. In 2023 he stepped up his output with four short projects — Grhünt, La Folie des Grandeurs, Avant les Yeux (a duet with Marseille artist Stony Stone) and Sun7 — while increasing his appearances on compilations and collective projects, from Come Out of the Blue vol.2 to the Le Règlement series and releases on the Raplume platform, alongside artists such as Favé and Georgio. Musically, Houdi alternates between boom bap, trap and two‑step, incorporates sung hooks and explores plug‑influenced sounds, drawing influences from artists including Alpha Wann, Kekra and Lesram. In early 2024 the mixtape Hood Volume.1 brought together Guy2Bezbar, Ziak, Lesram, Winnterzuko and Dosseh around a direct, punchy rap; in September it was followed by the album Le Dernier Rayon de Soleil, driven by the tracks "Rap conscient" and "Totally Spies." The mixtape Sirocco is announced for 2025, while Houdi continues to release singles regularly, such as "Dalida" with So La Lune, "Intérieur", "Ribéry", "Sunsex" and "Ailleurs."
