Zamdane

Between Marrakech and Marseille, Zamdane develops francophone rap marked by a strong autobiographical bent and a taste for dark melodies. Having come from Morocco to settle in southern France, he began to attract attention in the mid-2010s with a series of freestyles released online, notably around the format “Affamé,” which established his name in the Marseille rap scene. Zamdane’s work oscillates between melodic trap, introspective rap and more atmospheric moods, with writing focused on exile, family, precarity and neighborhood trajectories, often delivered through an alternation of singing and rapping. After several singles and short digital projects, he stepped up with the 2022 album Couleur de ma peine, which brings his recurring themes together in a long format and strengthened his presence on the French rap scene. Active in collaborations with artists of his generation and regularly performing live, Zamdane has continued to build a discography centered on personal storytelling and a strong link to Marseille and Morocco.
