Eris Drew

Born into Chicago’s club environment, Eris Drew developed an early relationship with dance music, first on keyboards and later behind the decks, which she has practiced since 1994. A trans American DJ and producer, Eris Drew’s work sits at the intersection of house, acid house, breakbeat, techno and rave aesthetics, with sets focused on pulse, collective movement and a very physical reading of the dancefloor. Her trajectory was built between the nights at Smart Bar in Chicago, where she was a long-time resident, and the New York scene via The Bunker NY, before she circulated widely through clubs and festivals across Europe and North America. With Octo Octa, Eris Drew co-founded the label T4T LUV NRG, which supports part of their collaborative work, while her productions also appear on Detroit’s Interdimensional Transmissions and Lisbon’s Naive. Beyond mixing and production, Eris Drew regularly situates rave culture within a broader history of trance music and ritual dance — a reflection that runs through her DJ sets, public talks and her mentorship of trans, queer and non-binary people.
