Sidney Charles

Based in Hamburg, Sidney Charles has been active on the German and European house and tech-house scene since the early 2010s. A producer and DJ, he crafts a sound focused on groove, featuring supple basslines, dry rhythms and an approach informed by classic house, garage, funk and hip-hop inflections. His first discographic footprints appeared across EPs released on club-oriented labels such as Avotre, Noir Music, 8bit and Moon Harbour, before expanding his presence to other international house imprints including Hot Creations and Solid Grooves. In both his productions and his sets, Sidney Charles favors a direct writing style built on repetition, texture variation and effective rhythmic placement, frequently using vocal fragments and forward basslines. Alongside his releases he developed Heavy House Society, a project combining a label and events that reinforces his roots in club and festival circuits across Europe and beyond.
