Joe Bonamassa

Born in New Hartford, New York, in 1977, Joe Bonamassa made his mark on American blues rock early: he shared the stage with B.B. King at age 12 and joined the band Bloodline in the early 1990s. His solo career began with the 2000 album “A New Day Yesterday”, which launched a steady stream of studio and live releases, including “Blues Deluxe” (2003), “You & Me” (2006), “The Ballad of John Henry” (2009), “Dust Bowl” (2011), “Different Shades of Blue” (2014), “Blues of Desperation” (2016) and “Royal Tea” (2020). A guitarist and singer, Bonamassa has developed an electric blues‑rock sound informed by British blues, 1970s hard rock and touches of soul and folk, with songs often built around dense riffs and extended instrumental passages. Alongside his solo work he has pursued various group projects, notably the supergroup Black Country Communion from 2009, and several duet albums with singer Beth Hart featuring soul and blues covers. Very active on stage, Joe Bonamassa regularly tours the United States and Europe, favouring theatres, rock concert venues and festivals dedicated to blues and American roots music.
