Danielle Nicole

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Danielle Nicole has developed a career situated between contemporary blues, soul, and rhythm and blues, with a central emphasis on bass and a voice with a rich, warm timbre. Before her career under her own name, Danielle Nicole played in the family band Trampled Under Foot with her brothers Kris and Nick Schnebelen, a formation active on the American blues scene in the 2000s and 2010s. She then launched her solo project with the EP Danielle Nicole in 2015, followed by the album Wolf Den in the same year, recorded in an aesthetic where electric blues, Southern soul, and roots accents cross. The trajectory continued in this direction with Live at the Gospel Lounge in 2017, Cry No More in 2018, and The Love You Bleed in 2024. Over the course of her records, Danielle Nicole has worked with musicians such as Brandon Miller, Anders Osborne, Stanton Moore, and Tony Braunagel, while maintaining an identity built on well-constructed songs, often supple tempos, and a blues approach that is open to soul, gospel, and a measured rock. Present in festivals and clubs in the United States as well as Europe, Danielle Nicole places her work within a contemporary blues scene that blends tradition, personal songwriting, and group energy.
