Uno Svenningsson
Born in Hagelstorp, Sweden, Uno Svenningsson is part of Swedish-language pop, with a melodic songwriting style that blends chanson, light rock and acoustic ballads. Initially known as the voice of the band Freda’, active from the 1980s, he launched a solo career in the mid-1990s with the album Uno (1994), followed by …due! (1996), Möss & människor (1998) and I det osynliga (2001), which includes the track Vågorna. His repertoire relies on understated compositions centered on guitar, melodic lines and pop arrangements with an introspective tone. Over the years he has alternated studio albums, collaborations and joint projects, notably with Irma Schultz Keller on Sånger för december (2006) and December - En svensk jul (2011). He also participated in Melodifestivalen in 2007 with Irma Schultz Keller and in 2016 as part of the trio Patrik, Tommy & Uno alongside Patrik Isaksson and Tommy Nilsson. His later discography includes Jag sjunger för dig (2008), 7 (2013), Andras sånger (2018) and Österlen (2020). In 2017 Uno Svenningsson also appeared on the Swedish TV show Så mycket bättre, continuing a career that balances pop performance, personal songwriting and frequent collaborations.
