Peter Jöback

Born in Stockholm in 1971, Peter Jöback early on forged a career between pop song and musical theatre, both in Sweden and internationally. Trained at Adolf Fredriks musikskola, Södra Latin and later at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, he first drew attention on stage before gaining widespread recognition in the mid-1990s for the role of Robert in Kristina från Duvemåla. His discography then follows a varied path through orchestral pop, Swedish popular song, melodic rock, standards and Christmas repertoire, with albums such as Personliga val (1997), Only When I Breathe (2000), Jag kommer hem igen till jul (2002), Det här är platsen (2004), East Side Stories (2009), La vie, l’amour, la mort (2011) and I Love Musicals - The Album (2013). Peter Jöback has also recorded and performed with artists like Towe Jaarnek, Eva Dahlgren, Annika Norlin, Kate Pierson and Sia. At the same time he has maintained a steady stage career from the West End to Broadway, with roles in Miss Saigon, The Witches of Eastwick and The Phantom of the Opera, and in Sweden in Cabaret, Sweeney Todd and Jesus Christ Superstar.
