The Supermen Lovers
Led by Parisian producer Guillaume Atlan, The Supermen Lovers emerged from the late-1990s French house wave by blending funk, disco and electro into a highly melodic approach. The project reached a wide audience in the early 2000s with the single “Starlight”, recorded with singer Mani Hoffman, which established The Supermen Lovers’ nu-disco signature: prominent basslines, soulful vocals and nods to the 1970s and 1980s. The debut album “The Player” was released in 2001, followed by “Between the Ages” in 2011 and “Body Double” in 2022, which extend this hybrid aesthetic between house, boogie and electronic pop. In studio and on stage, The Supermen Lovers alternates between live formats and DJ sets and performs in clubs, festivals and electronic venues across France and Europe. At the same time Guillaume Atlan pursues production and remix work for other artists, while steering The Supermen Lovers toward more synthetic, cinematic textures without abandoning the funk and disco foundations that shape the project’s identity.
