Stand Atlantic

Formed in Sydney in the early 2010s around singer and guitarist Bonnie Fraser, Stand Atlantic began in the Australian pop punk scene before gradually expanding its sound toward alternative rock, emo and a rougher kind of pop. Their early discography — the EPs A Place Apart (2015) and Sidewinder (2017) — established direct guitars, melodic choruses and songwriting driven by a constant tension between energy and vulnerability. With Skinny Dipping (2018) they refined this formula into a taut, singable register, then evolved it on Pink Elephant (2020), which is denser, more confrontational and more open to contemporary textures. f.e.a.r. (2022) pushed this shift further with rougher production, more varied rhythms and electronic elements woven into the song structures. In 2024, Was Here continued this hybrid direction. Moving from the Australian local circuit to tours on pop punk and alternative stages across Europe and North America, Stand Atlantic has built a career defined by shifts in palette without abandoning its melodic core.
