Sega Bodega

Under the name Sega Bodega, Salvador Navarrete develops in London an electronic music at the crossroads of experimental pop, deconstructed club, ambient and often intimate vocal writing. Of Irish‑Chilean origin, Sega Bodega emerged in the early 2010s as a producer and DJ in the London underground scene, before expanding his work to composition, singing and artistic direction. As co‑founder of the collective and label NUXXE with Shygirl and Coucou Chloe, he is part of a network of artists that blurs the boundaries between rap, mutant pop and abrasive electronic textures. His career alternates between solo projects and productions for other voices, notably Shygirl, Oklou and Eartheater. With the albums Salvador (2020) and Romeo (2021), Sega Bodega tightens his musical language: fragmented rhythms, suspended melodies, diffuse basses and a highly mobile treatment of the voice, in a format more directly written than his earlier club‑oriented work.
