Doss

From New York, Doss creates electronic music that blends dream trance, electro house, techno and club pop, with touches of shoegaze, downtempo and electroclash. A producer, DJ, singer and songwriter, she first emerged in the early 2010s with remixes for How to Dress Well in 2012 and Wildarms in 2013, before releasing the EP Doss in 2014 on Acéphale. That initial release established a style that is both melodic and direct, built on luminous textures, crisp rhythms and a clear song-oriented approach. After several years without a major solo release, Doss returned in 2021 with 4 New Hit Songs on LuckyMe, where her writing gained in density while retaining a readily readable dancefloor energy. The same period saw her sign remixes for A. G. Cook and Lady Gaga, following a collaboration with SOPHIE on Whole New World in 2019. Doss continued with the single Cherry in 2021, Jumpin’ in 2022, the EP 4 New Hit Songs Remixes the same year, and the single Drugs in 2023. Her trajectory thus sits between the New York club scene and experimental electronic pop, in a format where DJing, production and vocals remain closely linked.
